28th Annual Amelia Concours d’Elegance - March 5th, 2023

What is the Amelia Concours d'Elegance?

Ken and I had an exciting time at the Amelia Concours this year!  If you are not familiar with the event, The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is a prestigious event that showcases rare and beautiful automobiles from around the world. It's held annually in Amelia Island, Florida, and draws car enthusiasts from all over.

The dinners, auctions, and main event on Sunday are all exciting components of the Amelia Concours. The auctions during the week and over the weekend are an opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to bid on some of the world's most rare and exotic cars. And the main event on Sunday is the culmination of the weekend's festivities, with a spectacular display of automotive beauty and engineering.

This year the Honoree was racing legend Jeff Gordon.  As you know, Gordon is considered one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time, having won 93 races and four NASCAR Cup Series championships during his career. 

The picture below was a corral of his race cars throughout the years including a few sprint cars from his early years on display. 

 Overall, Amelia Concours was a truly memorable experience this year, with plenty of excitement and admiration for the honoree, Jeff Gordon, #24.
