Bloomington Gold Corvette Show - Team Lingenfelter

Ken and I jumped in the Red Lingenfelter Supercharged C8 Corvette and made our way down to Bloomington, Illinois for Bloomington Gold, also known as the Granddaddy of Corvette shows.

Thursday night kicked off with the Gold Gala as they unveiled the Gold Collection. What a sight to see the four Gulf Racing Cars parked together for the 1st time in history. The Blue Corvette was donated to the Corvette Museum and you will likely be able to view it when visiting the museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

We made several trips back to the Gold Room to check out the Cars!!

Another highlight of the event was the 1953 Corvette, Serial #001. Quite a story behind this car!!

Friday at 1pm Ken hosted a seminar - Need more power in your C7 or C8? The room was packed, with a questions session about all things Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. He talked about engine packages, Magnuson Superchargers, Corsa Exhuast, Alcon Brakes, C8 Corvette Intake packages. I think he covered it all.

We had a wonderful time and looking forward to 2025!! Get this event on your calendar.

Meet Team Lingenfelter - Lingenfelter Performance Engineering was founded in 1973. The company has now passed it's 50th anniversary with Ken Lingenfelter leading the way. Two performance shops are in operation including Decatur, Indiana and Wixom, Michigan. The Lingenfelter Collection is located in Brighton, Michigan and houses over 150 cars including exotics, Corvettes and muscle cars. The Collection is private although we do make it available for community fundraising events. We host a spring open house in April that benefits American Cancer Society Research. In the fall we support The Pink Fund which is an outstanding organization which provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients, covering nonmedical bills. You can often find us at car shows, track days racing modified Corvettes and we are looking forward to the Caravan this year to the National Corvette Musuem. Another event we look forward to every year is Corvettes at Carlisle in Pennsylvania. The dates this year were August 22-24th, 2024. This year we will be attended Bloomington Gold which is one of the biggest Corvette Shows located in Bloomington, Illinois. The event took place June 22-22, 2024 and Ken was a guest speaker. We had a fun summer full of car shows and car friends. And as we head into the fall we look forward to cruises and our annual Toy Drive at the Collection, Saturday, December 7th. Noon-3pm. We will also have a presence at the PRI Show in Indy 12/11 - 12/14 showing off our Twin Turbo 427 C8 Corvette LT2
